Serving the Big Horn Basin for over 100 years
Joyce E. Fausset, 87, died on Wednesday July 29, 2020 at home in Cheyenne, WY and went on to be restored whole again with her Lord and Savior.
Joyce was born on April 7, 1933, in Basin, WY to Peter and Marie (Hartman) Miller. She lived in Worland for over 80 years, attending school, raising a family and working in customer service at a local bank before retiring and then moving to Cheyenne, WY four years ago to be closer to family. She was married to Donald M. Fausset and later divorced.
Joyce is survived by her son D. Dean Fausset and his wife Sherri of Cheyenne, WY; two grandchildren: Andrew R. (Lydia) Fausset of Dillon, CO and Erin K. Fausset and two great grandchildren; Zoey and Charlie Wilson of Cheyenne, WY; and numerous nieces and nephews and cousins.
Joyce was preceded in death by her parents; her sister Audrey Rubis; and brothers Elmer Miller and Gene Miller; and ex-husband.
The last few years were a particular struggle for Joyce because of dementia. However, moving to Cheyenne to live with family seemed to make the most sense for her care and medical needs. She missed Worland, her home, her yard and extended family and friends.
While in Cheyenne she got to attend her son's retirement party; see her grandson get married in Colorado; share her love of animals with her granddaughter; see her great-grandchildren grow; play with her great-granddaughter; live through her great-grandson's injury and recovery; celebrate every holiday and birthday with family; and know every day she was loved and cared for.
Joyce enjoyed the constant companionship of her dogs and tending to her yard and flowers. She was a member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church.
Cremation has taken place.
While we would like to have a memorial service, due to Covid-19 and how far apart we are all spread there will be no public service. The family appreciates your thoughts, prayers and encouragement.
