Ten Sleep council mulls, then approves building permit

TEN SLEEP – The Ten Sleep Town Council met on election night, Nov. 3, to discuss a permit for Carter Country Fabrication in order to build a new refrigeration unit as well as a drive-thru for food service.

Much of the discussion between the council and members representing Carter Country Fabrication centered on where the units would be located in relation to the alleyway as well as the street, how the drive-thru operation would work as well as fencing located near the premises.

The council held these discussions regarding the specifications for approximately 30 minutes, the council discussed the possibility of tabling the discussion until the next potential meeting but the permit was approved after the additional discussion.

A new 72 square-foot dispensing room on the southwest corner of 201 2nd St. for Sackett’s Fork Pizza was approved by the council, and a decision regarding the liquor license for the room was passed after the council approved the addition.

There was no report provided regarding last month’s Hunter’s Fest but the council is hopeful they will receive an oral or written report at an upcoming meeting.

In a report from the Ten Sleep Pioneer Museum it was reported that the museum is closed for the winter season, and that the town needed to draw up a new contract with them. Mayor Ernie Beckley reported to the council that he and town attorney Sandy Kitchens were working on a contract to be signed.

The council’s special meeting for approving the bills this month will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 18.
