WORLAND — Worland Mayor Jim Gill and department heads recognized the four outgoing council members at Tuesday’s regular council meeting.
Gill presented Keith Gentzler, Mandy Horath, Kenneth Shearer and Caleb Vigil with certificates thanking them for their service.
“We will miss all of these individuals,” he said.
At the end of the meeting Gentzler, who is retiring after eight years on the council said, “I want to thank everybody for putting up with me. I realize I became a city council member to give back to a city that gave a lot to me. I hope I have accomplished that. I’m going to miss everyone of you. I appreciate the patience you’ve given me.”
In other business at Tuesday’s council meeting:
•City Attorney Kent Richins announced that the city received no bids on for the purchase of the property at 1429 Coburn. He said they will try again in the spring when there might be more interest.
•The council approved a change order to the airport mower equipment bid to add an aircraft radio with a cost of $2,340, with the city’s share $234.
•Public Works Superintendent Brian Burky reported that work is underway on the new bulk water system that will be at Russell and North Railway.
Crews have also been replacing storm water grates.
