Warriors to play for state title Thursday

After being denied a shot at a title last year after the state tournament was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Worland Warriors will have their chance this year.

They defeated Lander 64-54 in the semifinal game Wednesday night. They will face Mountain View at 5 p.m. (directly following the girls 3A game) for the 3A State Boys Basketball Championship. Mountain View defeated Rawlins to advance to the title game.

The Warriors defeated Mountain View on Jan. 8 76-54.
