WORLAND – Washakie County Public Health (WCPH) is set to host a vaccine clinic next Wednesday, April 14, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the Worland Community Center for those receiving their second dose of the Moderna vaccine from the March 17 clinic.
WCPH has also said that those wishing to receive their first dose of the vaccine may also attend the clinic, the vaccine is open to any Washakie County adult aged 18 or older. Those receiving their first dose should bring an insurance card if they have one, and regardless if you are receiving your first or second dose those attending need to bring the vaccine consent form found at http://www.washakiecounty.net/public-health
Those receiving their second dose of the vaccine will need to bring their vaccination card that was distributed at the first clinic.
As of Tuesday, April 6, there have been 1,898 residents in Washakie County that have received the first dose of the Moderna vaccine, and 1,493 that have received both doses of the Moderna vaccine. There have also been 100 residents who have received the Johnson & Johnson vaccine.
WCPH confirmed that they have received another 100 doses of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine this week and they are working on scheduling people for a clinic. Those wishing to receive this vaccine should call the public health office in order to be placed on a specific waitlist to receive the vaccine whenever the county receives more doses.
WCPH is not the only place administering the vaccine at this time; there are doctor’s offices in the area offering the vaccine. Please contact your provider to see if they are offering the vaccine.
In addition to the vaccine clinic next week in Washakie County, there will be a clinic open to any Wyoming resident aged 16 and older at the Shoshone Rose Casino in Lander on Saturday, April 10, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.
There will be 300 doses available at this clinic, and those wishing to attend will need to bring an ID along with an insurance card if you have one.
