Plenty of Ten Sleep Fourth of July Festivities for everyone

The Ten Sleep Fourth of July Parade’s theme is “Red Dirt and Rodeo” this year, with plans to kick off their celebration at 10 a.m. July 4, but the Fourth fun starts earlier in the weekend this Fridaynew this year is the Friday

Other events include street dances at 9 p.m. July 2 and 3. There will be a craft show from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. in the city park July 4.

The parade this year will include entries from the American Legion color guard, Pony Express Riders, a professional trumpet player and floats from local organizations such as Cowbelles, the Bighorn Bar, and Bureau of Land Management. “Anderson Ladies” Doris and Gayle have been selected as this year’s grand marshals.

RODEO

As usual, the main event is the 76th annual Ten Sleep Rodeo that spans all weekend, with a start time of 5 p.m. on July 3 and 1:30 p.m. July 4. There is agate fee. Rodeo events include wild horse race, bareback, saddle bronc, and bull riding among others. Vendors will be selling shaved ice, mini donuts, lemonade, Indian tacos and burgers. Diamond K will be making custom leather works.

There is slack event on July 3 at 10 a.m.

The fireworks show will be visible anywhere in town the night of July 4 and is set to take place at dusk.
