Serving the Big Horn Basin for over 100 years
Tracy Jean (Dworshak) Brazelton, 59-year-old Worland resident passed away at the Billings Clinic on July 5, 2021 with her loving husband by her side.
Tracy was born on November 26, 1961 in Bozeman, Montana to Henry and Irene (Burmeister) Dworshak. She was the youngest of three children, joining big brothers Bruce and Ross.
She grew up helping her mom in a restaurant, Big Bob's. Because of her dad's disability, her mom worked long hours to take care of the family's needs. Tracy started waitressing at age 14. She learned early how to help out at home and be a caregiver.
She moved to Wyoming in 1984, working various jobs. While working for DAB Oil Field Services, a certain man caught her eye, Steve Brazelton. The couple dated for a while and after some rearranging of living arrangements were able to make their home on the property that Tracy already owned. This was important to her as she had adopted and cared for many stray animals who had crossed her path. She loved her country home and the freedom it gave her. Not a surprise at all, one of the stray pups she brought home was also a little matchmaker, Zoey, the blue-heeler took to Steve very quickly. This union helped Tracy to know that Steve would be a great husband.
Tracy was a great listener, most people found that she was so easy to confide in. Although she had a quiet demeaner, she was forthright and honestly outspoken. You always knew where you stood with her. In that blatant honesty, she probably loved her animals more than most people.
She enjoyed reading books, coloring books of abstract designs and making cards using stamps. She had an artistic side to her that could not be fully expressed because of her RA. She loved to go camping with Steve. Her favorite place would be sitting beside the campfire, book in one hand, Coors Light in the other and a cigarette waiting nearby. She was keeping a file of her life stories with the intent to write a book. Some of her favorite memories were in Livingston, Montana where she met actors such as Jimmy Buffet, Peter Fonda, Slim Pickins, Sam Peckinpah and Waylon Jennings while serving customers as a waitress.
She was preceded in death by her parents. She leaves behind her loving husband of 21 years, Steve, brothers, Bruce (Kim) Dworshak and Ross (Nadine) Dworshak all of Worland.
A Celebration of Life will be held 10:00 AM on Saturday, July 17, 2021 at the Worland Community Center Complex. Please come and share your memories of Tracy with the family. Online condolences may be made at http://www.bryantfuneralhomeonline.com.
