WORLAND — The 2021 and third Warrior Hall of Fame inductee class have been announced and will be inducted tonight with a public meet and greet at 5:30 p.m. at the Worland Middle School Auditorium.
A dinner for inductees and guests will follow the meet and greet.
The inductees will be honored in the Homecoming Parade at 1 p.m. Friday.
Also on Friday, the inductees will ring the bell to welcome the Warriors onto the field at 6 p.m. for the game against the Rawlins Outlaws.
At halftime, the inductees or their representatives will be honored at the 50-yard line.
Created in 2019, the Warrior Hall of Fame represents the best that Washakie County School District No. 1 has had to offer, whether that be students, teachers, administrators, others who have worked in the district or those who have made philanthropic support to students or the district.
The inductees for 2021 are Cindy Bower (class of 1975), Gerald Geis (class of 1951), Cathy Trego-Groshart (class of 1968), Richard Hake (class of 1960), Alva Ray Krogman (posthumosly, class of 1959) and Lanny Schneider (class of 1987).
The inaugural class in 2019 was Francie Faure, Mary Faure, Tom Harrington, Debbie Healy Hammons, Grant Ujifusa, Roger Youtz and David Zuniga. The Hall of Fame Class of 2020 was Mickey Day, Jim Fassler, Doug Reachard, Kathy Van Huele Romsa and Don Wheeler.
