Linda Kay Spiva Bessler

Linda Kay Spiva Bessler, of Worland, formerly of Powell, passed away September, 30 at St. Vincent Health Care in Billings.

Linda, the daughter of George and Bea Shanley Spiva was born on July 21, 1949 in Riverton, Wyoming. She was raised in Shoshoni and in 1956 moved with her family to Casper. She graduated from Natrona County High School in 1967 and attended Casper College. She married Alan “Bud” Bessler on November 12, 1971 in Casper. Throughout their married life, they lived in Germany, when Bud was in the service, north of Douglas, Powell and currently lived in Worland.

Linda and Bud were the parents of three children, Gary, Lee and Kacey. Whatever they were involved with, she was always there, and was a very faithful supporter of their 4-H and FFA activities. After the children married and gave her her wonderful grandchildren, Granny didn’t miss any of their activities, games or livestock shows. She is remembered as a loving wife, mom, sister, daughter, aunt and Granny. Linda was known for her kindness, warm smile and her easy way of mothering all.

Preceding her in death were: her father, George Spiva, sister, Patty Skogen, infant sister Norma Kay, father-in-law and mother-in-law, Ray and Janice Bessler.

Survivors include her mother, Bea Spiva of Casper, her husband, Bud of Worland, sons Gary (Teresa)Bessler of Buffalo, Lee(Jaime) Bessler of Powell and daughter, Kacey(Chad) Green of Craig, Colorado, brother, George (Debbie) Spiva of Casper, and brother-in-law, Craig Skogen of Casper, and her six grandchildren, Colby, Cassidy, Brooke, Blake, Carter and Tate. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews, and many, many extended family members.
