Donald Hoffman, 89, formerly of Worland, Wyoming, passed away December 8, 2021, in Sun City, Arizona.
Don was born on March 13, 1932, to Casper and Martha Hoffman in Fort Morgan, Colorado. He was raised in Greeley, Colorado, and later moved to Worland. In 1951, he joined the U.S. Navy and served in the Korean War. He discharged from the Navy in 1955 and returned to Worland. In 1957, he married Mary Mazet. They later divorced. He married again in 1980 to Pauline (Conrad) Swartzendruber.
Following his service in the Navy, Don was employed by Strauch Brothers, Worland Machine and, finally, the United States Postal Service until his retirement.
Don enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling, golfing, playing cards, and tinkering at his work bench to create many gifts for family and friends.
Don is survived by his wife, Pauline, of Sun City, his daughter, L’nette Gilmore (Gary) and grandson, Landen Gilmore, of Worland, Wyoming. He is survived by a sister, Elda Polera, of San Diego, California, and brothers Arnold Hoffman (Donna), of Surprise, Arizona, and Kenneth Hoffman (Margit), of Fountain, Colorado. He is also survived by step-children Terry Swartzendruber (Deb) of Perry, Utah, Rhonda Allmaras (Rick) of Casper, Wyoming, and Renee Robinson (Sean) of Anchorage, Alaska, and many nieces, nephews, and step-grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were his parents and six of his seven sisters: Esther Strauch, Geraldine Wolfe, Ruth Martin, Helen Krum, Shirley (Eckhardt) Sanders and Barbara Griffith.
A memorial service and celebration of life is planned for March 24, 2022, in Sun City, Arizona.
