Marjorie Alice Greet, 85, passed away on December 17, 2021 at the Billings Clinic in Billings, Montana.
Marjorie was born on September 20, 1936 in Seattle, Washington to Willis Emmett and Naomi (Carpenter) Gillett. She graduated from Torrington High School in 1954. She married Henry Kumpe in Hudson, Wyoming in 1955. To this union, four children were born, Henry, William, Naomi "Mae" and Bonnie "Sue" The couple moved to Worland in 1961. She cooked at the Washakie Memorial Hospital for a number of years but was probably remembered most for delivering mail to rural areas for 30 years.
After the death of Henry, Marjorie met Neil Greet. They were wed in June of 1976. Together they enjoyed driving the backroads of Wyoming. It was also during this time that Gigi, her beloved dog became an important part of her life.
Marjorie was an avid reader and loved books, especial biographies, Forensic Crime shows and Western Movies. She enjoyed looking for the perfect "find" at the local thrift store. Depression Glass was something she collected. Her children will miss her wonderful sense of humor that was often laced with sarcasm.
She was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands and brothers, Louis and Donald.
Survivors include her sons, Henry and William (Julie) Kumpe; daughters, Naomi Mae Simpson and Bonnie Sue Kumpe all of Worland; grandchildren: Stephanie (Bobby) Mondragon, Kathryn (Justin) Heinz, Kristopher (Jennifer) Kumpe, Jessica Hall; great-grandchildren, Matthew and Emari.
Memorial services will be held 1:00 PM January 10, 2021 at the Bryant Funeral Home Chapel. Inurnment will follow next spring at the Ten Sleep Cemetery. Online condolences may be made at http://www.bryantfuneral
