Nowaks welcome second child as first baby of 2022

WORLAND - Connor Hendrick Nowak, son of Brian and Kylie Nowak of Worland is the first baby born in 2022 at Worland's hospital, Washakie Medical Center.

Connor was born at 1:28 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 3, 2022 at WMC. He weighed 5 pounds 9 ounces and measured 19 inches. He joins an older sister, Juniper, 7, at home.

The Nowaks have been married 13 years and while they knew Connor would be a January baby, with a due date of Jan. 23, they did not conceive of the idea that he would be the first baby of the year. Connor showed up early on Jan. 3. Brian Nowak said the delivery was fairly quick with the water breaking at 8:15 p.m.

As the parents of the first baby, they got a nice gift basket with a lot of accessories for Connor, and a ham steak dinner.

Brian said there was a slight issue with Connor's breathing and he did spend two days in Billings but he is perfectly healthy, waking his family up every two hours to be fed.

"We're excited to have a healthy baby. Washakie Medical Center did an excellent job, they did everything in their power, even though they were shorthanded, to make everything perfect."

The Nowaks family also include a dog, two cats, a gecko and some fish.

Connor's grandparents are Leslie and Gary Nowak and Colyn Wright.

Great-grandparents are Molly and Butch Bonner.
