Days to celebrate their golden anniversary Saturday

WORLAND – Ann and Don Day of Worland will be celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary on Saturday, Feb. 19.

The two first met when they lived in Casper. Ann Day was working at the Casper Commentary, when Don Day’s parents stopped in to buy a coat.

“They told me to go check her out,” Don said.

Ann and Don were married five months later in Casper. They moved to Worland in 1984.

Don worked at what is now known as Rocky Mountain Power for 32 years, and worked for the Worland school system for 10 years. Ann worked at a Microsoft company in Casper, and then worked for the Worland school system for 29 years.

The couple has three children, Casey Day, Jamie Lastly and Christie Jenetti, as well as five grandchildren.

The two enjoy doing multiple activities together, including photography and fishing.

Ann says it is their faith in the Lord and commitment that is the secret to so many years of marriage.
