SCAM ALERT:

The Worland Police Department recently received information regarding a scam that is circulating in our area.

A local business received a phone call from an individual claiming to be from the City of Worland as the Business Development Manager. The caller informed the business owner to pay $500 to be included in this year’s Worland Business Map.

The City of Worland is not creating a business map, nor does the City of Worland have a Business Development Manager.

If you or your business receive this type of call, please do not provide any personal or business related information, and obviously don’t provide the scammer with any financial information.
