Ten Sleep annual Independence Day celebration begins Saturday

WORLAND – This weekend, Ten Sleep will be hosting their annual Fourth of July celebrations throughout town.

Events kick off on Saturday, July 2 at the 77th annual Fourth of July Ten Sleep Rodeo with the first annual Freedom Reigns Bull Blast at 5 p.m. Check in is from 2 to 3 p.m. There will be steer riding for age groups 8 through 10 and 11 through 13, and bull riding for age groups 14 through 15 and 16 through 18.

A street dance will follow downtown at 9 p.m. with a performance from The Garro Brothers.

Sunday, July 3, there is slack at 10 a.m. and a rodeo performance scheduled for 5 p.m. at the Ten Sleep rodeo grounds.

The town will be hosting its annual fireworks show at dusk.

At 9 p.m. there will be a street dance downtown with a performance from The Dugan Irby Band.

The Ten Sleep Fourth of July craft fair is on Monday, July 4 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the town park. According to event organizer Perla Martinez, there will be 15 vendors this year.

The parade’s theme this year is Red Rockets Glare. It is July 4 at 10 a.m. Floats are to line up before 9:30 a.m. on Highway 434 and First Street.

The rodeo will start at 1:30 p.m. on Monday.

This year’s Ten Sleep Rodeo Royalty is Queen Madilyn Glanz and Princess Aspyn Hamilton.
