Lorraine Ruth Miller

Lorraine Ruth Miller passed into the Lord's arms early Sunday morning, June 26th at Worland Healthcare and Rehabilitation at the age of 90. She was born January 22, 1932 in Worland, Wyoming to Conrad and Katherine (Lehman) Lass. She attended school in Worland where she graduated in 1950 from Washakie County High School.

She married her high school sweetheart, Eugene Miller on November 9, 1952 in Worland. They were blessed with two children, Cheryl and David.

She worked for a time at Wyoming Pure Seed and First National Bank in Worland. Most of her life she was a homemaker. She was an excellent cook, especially her fried chicken, potato salad, and cherry pie. She took great delight in growing beautiful flowers and having a gorgeous yard and large garden. Once her grandchildren came along, she enjoyed supporting them in their 4-H and athletic activities.

She was active in the Durkee 4-H club helping her children with their projects. She loved raising pigs, first for her children and then for her grandchildren.

She was a lifelong member of Zion Church, where she was the organist and pianist for over fifty years. She made sure her children could sing and play as well.

Lorraine was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Gene, her brothers, Conrad Lass and Robert Lass, her granddaughter, Andrea Apland, her sister-in-laws, Frances Lass, Audrey Rubis, and Joyce Fausset. She was also preceded in death by brother-in-laws, Jimmy Rubis, Don Fausset, Elmer Miller, and Arthur Schleiger.

Lorraine is survived by her children, Cheryl (Rick) Apland, David (Sally) Miller; grandchildren Matthew (Brittany) Miller, Mark (Kacie) Miller, Alissa (Cameron) Hughes, and Joel (Rachel) Apland; her great grandchildren, Brylee, Addalynn, and Brody Miller, Tenley and Breck Miller, and Grady, Corbin, and Ridgely Hughes. She is also survived by her sister, Dorothy Schleiger and her sister-in-laws, Alice Lass and Barbara Miller. Also surviving Lorraine are many nieces, and nephews. She is also survived by Buttons, her little Westie dog.

A Viewing will be held at the Veile Colonial Chapel, 301 S. 8th St. in Worland on Thursday, June 30th from 5-7pm. The Funeral Service for Lorraine will be held at Zion Church on Friday, July 1st at 10:30AM. Burial will follow at Riverview Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Worland.
