Anderson steps down as Washakie County Planner

WORLAND — Washakie County Planner David Anderson last month announced his resignation. His final day on the job was Wednesday, Aug. 10.

He began working for Washakie County Nov. 1, 2012.

“I am grateful to have had the opportunity to serve you and Washakie County in this capacity and I appreciate the support you have given me throughout my time in this position,” Anderson wrote the Washakie County Commission.

Anderson is taking an engineering position with BL Engineering.

He will remain a part-time employee with the county to perform inspections on an underground storage tank along with working on projects that state law requires to include a county employee on.

Washakie County Clerk Mary Grace Strauch said no one has applied for the position.

According to the posting for the job, the county planner is responsible for performing different tasks related to county roads, conducting surveys for existing and planned county roads and conducting other road planning.

The position requires either a formal education in planning or a related field, civil engineering or land surveying.
