Eloise Laverne Hansen

Eloise Laverne Hansen, 66, passed away peacefully in her sleep at her home on August 10, 2022.

Eloise was born to Donald and Eloise Evans in Casper, Wyoming on January 6, 1956. She grew up in Greybull, graduating from Greybull High School in 1973.

Eloise began her career as a dispatcher for the Worland Police Department before moving to City Hall where she worked as an accounting technician until the year 2000. During that time, she married Jerry Hansen and started her family with their only child, Rebeka Hansen. In 1997, Jerry and Eloise parted ways and she began her next chapter in Sheridan, Wyoming. She worked at the City of Sheridan for a short time before settling into her final career at DOWL, retiring in 2022.

In Eloise's younger years, she enjoyed softball. That is where she met several of her lifelong friends. Later she found a love for golf and even more friends that were there with her until the very end. She looked forward to going with friends on yearly Mesquite golf trips and enjoyed helping out in the pro shop, both in Worland and Sheridan. In her free time, Eloise could be found at the library, book in her hand, or going on long walks or just visiting with friends. She was fiercely independent and was always a pleasure to be around.

Eloise was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Shirley Linderman; brother, Donald Evans Jr .; daughter, Rebeka Hansen Obenchain; son-in-law, Matt Obenchain and stepdaughter, Larinda Hansen.

Survivors include her brother, Harry Evans of Greybull, and sisters, Lucy Marsh and Helen Call.
