Mary Louise Dickson, 79, passed away at her home on September 15th 2022 surrounded by her loving family. Mary was born February 6th 1943 to John and Carmen (Ramos) Fabela in Worland Wyoming. She received her education in Worland schools. Mary married Warren Dickson Sr in October 1972 and later divorced. From this union four children were born, Warren, Shawn, Dianna and Tammy. Mary worked many years for Washakie Hotel. Later she worked for many years as a cook at Ranchito Mexican Restaurant. After retiring from Ranchito she dedicated her time to babysitting. Mary watched many children of both family and friends. She loved each and every child as though they were her own. Helping watch and raise every one of these children was one of the greatest joys of her life. She even followed them around and supported them to their different activities around the community. Many of these children to this day still see Mary as their bonus Grandma. Mary later went back to work to help at Martinez Mexican Restaurant for several years.
In her past time Mary loved to can salsa and cook for family. She always made sure everyone was fed. Spending time with family meant the world to her. You always would find a Pepsi in Mary's hands, even in her final days. Her granddaughters Chassidi and Dominique were the light of her life. She never hesitated to do anything and everything for them. Their bond with their grandma was undeniably unique and special. Her great granddaughter Amari brought more joy to Mary than imaginable. She was a very proud Grandma and Great Grandma.
She was preceded in death by her parents. Brothers John and Sal Fabela, sisters Belen Lucero and Rose Gonzalez.
She is survived by her children Warren of Lander, Shawn of Casper, Dianna of Worland and Tammy (Adam) of Salt Lake City. Granddaughters Chassidi and Dominique and great granddaughter Amari all of Salt Lake City. Sister Toni Munoz of Worland and numerous nieces and nephews. Step-sisters Mary Mercado and Janet Wilkerson.
A Memorial Service will be held at 10am, Saturday, September 24, 2022 at Mt. Calvary Fellowship, 200 N. 3rd Street, Worland, WY. A Graveside Service will follow at Riverview Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Worland. Arrangements have been entrusted to Veile Mortuary.
