Serving the Big Horn Basin for over 100 years

Tyler Boyd Lyman

Tyler Boyd Lyman, 50, of Ten Sleep, Wyoming, passed away on June 30, 2023 at the Washakie Medical Center ED from medical complications that began after surgery.

Tyler was born on March 26, 1973 to Betty Colt and Dwight Lyman in Worland, Wyoming. He grew up in Ten Sleep where he graduated in 1991.

In 2000, Tyler and Neysha Decker began dating. They were married in 2002 and have two daughters, Sawyer and Shelby Lyman. Years later they would be blessed with two grandsons, Jace and Easton Lyman.

Tyler's favorite hobby was snowmobiling. He spent many years and countless miles exploring the Big Horn Mountains, and teaching his daughters how to ride. When he wasn't working for CAT rental hauling heavy machinery, he was helping his father build cabins, working cows on the mountain property, or causing mayhem with his best friend, Matt. While he loved working on the mountain property, his true passion was working with his wife on their ranch. It is here that he built them a beautiful home on his dream spot. His favorite nightly activity was running the dogs, then cuddling Shelby on the couch while eating popcorn from "Big Grandma's" popcorn maker and watching Gas Monkey Garage.

Tyler was preceded in death by his grandson, Jace Don Lyman; father-in-law, Don Decker; uncle, Bradley Lyman; sister-in-law, Lori Lyman; cousin, Stephen Lyman and grandparents, Bernice and Boyd Lyman.

Tyler is survived by his wife, Neysha; daughters, Sawyer and Shelby Lyman; grandson, Easton Tyler Lyman; parents, Betty and Dwight Lyman; mother-in-law, Nancy Decker; brother-in-law, Seth Decker (Mary and Hayden); brother, Jack Lyman (Malone, Mason, and Blaine); sister, Annette Goddard (Ernie, Blake, Reece, and Riley); aunts, Sally Davis (Mike, Michelle, and Kelly) and Virgie Evans (John, Donna, Laurie, Melony, and Brent); uncles, Mark Lyman (Jeff and Holli) and Clark Lyman (Jennete); his best friend, Matt Larson (Rachel and kids) and a large extended family.

A private celebration of life will be held at a later date. Memorial donations may be to a scholarship fund for Shelby that has been set up at Sunlight Federal Credit Union. Please make checks payable to "Shelby Lyman Scholarship Fund" and send to PO Box 524, Worland, WY 82401. Online condolences may be made at http://www.bryantfuneralhome
