Colleen Joyce Bose

Colleen Joyce Bose, 90, passed away on December 28, 2023 at the Worland Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.

Born on August 13, 1933, in Wilsonville, Nebraska, Colleen was the daughter of Robert "Chub" Peter and Irma Jane (Grotfeld) Dillan. She graduated from Wilsonville High School and pursued her passion for nursing at college in Kearney, Nebraska. It was during this time that she met the love of her life, Kenneth Bose, and they were joined in marriage on June 28, 1953.

The couple embarked on a journey together traveling around the country until they found their forever home in Ten Sleep, Wyoming, in 1970. Together, they raised three children, Cris, Steve and Scott, creating a warm and loving home.

Colleen was not only a devoted wife and mother but also a talented cook. Her culinary skills were showcased in several cafes, including the Ten Sleep school and her own establishment, the Mountain Man Cafe in Ten Sleep.

In her free time, Colleen enjoyed crocheting, reading, and contributing to the community through her active participation in the United Methodist Church. One of her cherished endeavors was participating in "Little Shoppers," a program that provided Christmas gifts for young children to shop for their families during the holiday season.

Colleen Bose will be remembered as a good, loving mother, a compassionate listener, and a source of inspiration for all who were fortunate enough to know her. Her legacy of kindness, warmth, and community spirit will live on in the hearts of those she touched including all the students she sponsored. The world is a brighter place because of the love and joy she shared throughout her remarkable 90 years.

She is survived by her daughter, Cristi (Sean) McMahon of Worland; son, Scott (Lisa) Bose of Byron, Wyoming; grandson, Tim Bose and great-grandson Hunter of Sheridan; grandson, Jacob (Samantha) Bose of Lake Havasu City, Arizona.
