Worland welcomes first baby of 2024

Born on Wednesday, Jan. 3 at 2:01 a.m., Christopher John Banda became the first reported baby born in Worland of the new year.

Erica Banda, Christopher's mother, said he was 7 pounds, 3 ounces, and 19.5 inches at birth. Banda shared that Christopher's birth took 12 minutes from start to finish, and that he arrived just one day before his due date.

According to Banda, Christopher is her third baby born with the help of midwife Amy Borrelli.

Christopher Banda is Erica and Daniel Banda's fourth child, and his siblings are Lincoln (age 3), Luna (age 8) and Amilia (age 9).

"It's been awesome," said Banda, while talking about Christopher being home with everyone. "He has been a really easy baby, so it's great,"

she said.
