Serving the Big Horn Basin for over 100 years

Abel Flores

Abel Flores, 69, of Conroe, Texas passed away unexpectedly, but peacefully on April 2, 2024.

He and his wife, Angelica were visiting family in the country of Honduras during his passing. They loved visiting Honduras and their trips to the beach with family.

Abel was born on January 12, 1955, in Brownfield, Texas to Daniel Liscano Flores and Santos Garica Flores.

Abel married at the age of 16 and to that union of 23 years four of his children were born. Abel and his family lived in Granada, CO and Meadow, TX before moving to Worland, WY for what would become a career of 42 years with Crown Cork & Seal, Co. It was also in Worland that his fifth child was born in 1996, from his second marriage.

Life in Wyoming led to Abel's love of the outdoors where he enjoyed fishing, boating, and hunting. Abel loved all things music; dancing, singing, and playing instruments. It was hard to guess from one day to the next the genre of music that he would listen to on any given day. He enjoyed listening to classic country, Tejano, Mexican, gospel and more. His all-time favorite pastime was playing guitar, although he could also be found playing his living room piano. Abel enjoyed karaoke singing time with family and friends.

In 2002 Abel transferred with Crown Cork & Seal, Co. to Conroe, TX. There he continued to enjoy the outdoors where he and his wife Angelica often fished the Gulf shores and surrounding lakes. Abel had close relationships with each of his siblings and loved his time with them as well as their traveling adventures together.
