Serving the Big Horn Basin for over 100 years

Gerald "Matt" Mathew Nusbaum

On June 26, 2024, Matt's lifelong battle with a severe seizure disorder was lost.

He was born on October 15, 1999 in Cody, Wyoming to Edward Lee and Tracey Lynn (Kebler) Nusbaum.

Matt was known as "The Happy Gentle Giant", riding his electric bike all around town.

Even though he struggled with his own medical problems and the grief of losing his own sister to a seizure disorder, Matt remained a happy, upbeat man. He told everyone that his goal everyday was "To make people laugh and smile" and he did just that.

He was always ready with a joke, speaking in his Irish accent! Matt's grin put a smile on everyone's face that was lucky enough to cross paths with him. Matt with his loving spirit would lend a hand or help anyone in need. He loved hanging out with family, his dog and all of his friends.

So many people in this town of Worland looked out for and helped Matt. I am forever grateful to all of them.

This "Gentle Giant" will be greatly missed!

Matt was preceded in death by his sister, Sammy Nusbaum; grandmother, Bonnie Nusbaum; great-grandmother, Delores Nusbaum and grandfather, Terry Kebler.

He is survived by his loving mother, Tracey Nusbaum of Worland; father, Edward Nusbaum of La Garita, Colorado; paternal grandfather, Jerry Nusbaum of La Garita, Colorado; paternal grandparents, Gail & Roger Nelson of Denver, Colorado; maternal grandmother, Shirley Kebler of Worland; brothers, Brian (Jessica) Parko of Cody, Wyoming and Hayden Parko of Cody, Wyoming; niece, Bryalee; nephew, Zepplin and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
