Serving the Big Horn Basin for over 100 years

Big Praise gears up for Praise United MusicFest this Saturday

Big Praise of Worland will be hosting the second annual Praise United MusicFest this Saturday in Worland

According to member Kelly Schauble, “The event was a huge success in 2023 and we hope the momentum from the event last year will grow for 2024. Praise United will be relocated from Circle J Ranch in Ten Sleep over to the Washakie County Fairgrounds Park Stage in Worland this year.”

Schauble said the mission of the Praise United MusicFest is to provide a venue to show unity and the love of Christ through music. The hope is that families and friends will join together at the MusicFest and enjoy a powerful and energetic day of worship through music, finding Jesus Christ and fellowship.

The event will begin at 10 a.m. on Aug. 3 and wrap up around 7 p.m. that same evening. There is no cost to attend Praise United and everyone is welcome to attend. Attendees can stay the whole day or stop by for a few hours. Be sure to bring a lawn chair or blanket. Shade tents and sunbrellas are welcome too.

Praise United was born three years ago out of a vision that Big Praise had about uniting the body of Christ in and around the Big Horn Basin. Energy around a unity in the community event kept growing considering recent revivals taking place all around the globe and other large praise and worship events. Big Praise started serious brainstorming in late November 2022 and Praise United was born.

Last summer, the first MusicFest featured six bands from around the Big Horn Basin. This year the MusicFest has secured seven bands including: Big Praise (Worland), Agape (Thermopolis), Catchafire Men’s Event Band (Worland), CrossPoint Worship Team (Worland), Basin First Baptist Praise (Basin), Victory Christian Praise Team (Worland) and As One (Casper).

A MusicFest is not complete without food trucks. The following vendors will be located on site for the entire event: Los Werquillos Mexican Food and Snacks, We Got Your 6 Portions, and Pizza Hut. The Arctic Blast Shaved Ice trailer will also be serving up their sweet treats.

Praise United MusicFest merchandise will be onsite for sale as well.
