Lana Laree Mullis

Lana Laree (Hall) Mullis, born on March 4, 1940, in Oxford, Nebraska, to Orval Leonard and Erma (Robeson) Hall, passed away peacefully, leaving behind cherished memories and a legacy of love.

Lana graduated from Beaver City Public Schools in 1958. On July 14, 1958, she married Morris Mullis, also from Beaver City. The couple settled in Holdrege, Nebraska, where they welcomed three sons: Phillip, Norman, and Aron.

In August 1967, Morris decided to move the family to Ten Sleep, Wyoming, after falling in love with the area during a hunting trip. Morris worked as a lineman, and Lana embraced various roles in Ten Sleep, including working as a mail carrier, babysitter, and, for ten years, cleaning rooms at the local motel alongside Anella Snyder.

A devoted wife and mother, Lana often reminisced about her family life in Beaver City with great fondness. She was known for her incredible spirit and her passion for sewing, crafts, and ceramics. Lana enjoyed fishing and camping with Morris and the boys, and she left behind many ceramic pieces waiting to be painted and fired.

As a lifetime member of the Good Sam's Club, Lana and Morris traveled extensively, spending winters in Iowa and exploring Arizona, Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, and Missouri.

Lana was a valued member of the Mountain View Assembly of God Church, affectionately known as the "Hamburger Church". Her absence will be deeply felt, particularly in her regular spot at church.

Lana bravely faced the challenges of kidney failure and dialysis three times a week in Cody. Now, she is free from those struggles and reunited with her family and friends in peace, awaiting her Lord's call to come home.

Lana was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Morris, and nephew, Pebble Stone. Survivors include her sons, Phillip Mullis, Norman (Penny) Mullis all of Ten Sleep, and Aron (Eileen) Mullis of Worland, Wyoming. Lana was the eldest of three children, with her two brothers, Arlan (Dennis) and his wife Ann of Nixa, Missouri, and Jay Hall of Red Cloud, Nebraska, still living. She also leaves behind a niece, Rowena (Billy) Stone, nephew, John (Jamie) Hall, three great-nieces-Gabby, Gracie Hall, and Izzy Stone-and three great-nephews, Buddy Hall and Ian and Pebbel Stone.

Memorial services will be held 1:00 PM Friday, August 30, 2024, at Mountain View Assembly of God Church in Ten Sleep. Inurnment will follow at the Ten Sleep Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Ten Sleep Fire Department or the Ten Sleep Ambulance. Checks may be sent to PO Box 524, Worland, WY 82401. Online condolences may be made at http://www.bryant

Lana will be remembered as the glue that held her family together, and her absence will leave a significant void. Her family lovingly says, "We love you, Lana, and we will miss you dearly."
