Mary Ann (Newton) Shearer, 75, passed away peacefully at the Washakie Medical Center, surrounded by loving family members.
Mary Ann was born July 12, 1949 in Worland to Woodrow Robert and Bertha E. (Elliott) Newton.
Mary Ann had her own business doing interior and exterior house painting, she also worked at local restaurants and road construction. She enjoyed making doll houses and all types of craft projects. She loved to go dancing in her younger years.
She was a very giving person. Mary Ann enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and all of her animals. She loved being at home playing card games with her granddaughter, Anna and daughter, Jamie, watching her favorite murder mystery shows, interior decorating, cooking and baking with Anna. Anna, Kim, Jamie and Veronica all provided home care for her once she became ill.
She was preceded in death by her parents and grandsons: Justin Murray-Simpson, Ian Simpson and Chris Counterman; brother, Dave Newton; sisters, Myrtle "Nona" Speakerworth and Elaine Newton; first husband, Keith Skiles. Survivors include her children, Annette (Felix) Counterman with their 5 children and 11 grandchildren, Sharon (Patrick) Simpson with their 2 children and 6 grandchildren, Donna (Chance) Warne with their 4 children and 11 grandchildren, Randy Jr. (Jackie) Niehoff with their 4 children and 3 grandchildren, Jamie Niehoff with her 2 children and 1 grandchild, and bonus daughter (granddaughter) Anna Niehoff; She has a total of 20 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters: Charles and Albert Newton, Zula Crichton, Shirlie Kebler, Ialene Dangel, Carol Krcil, Audrey Dooley, Holly Getzfreid, and special friend and former husband, Kim Shearer.
