Serving the Big Horn Basin for over 100 years
This weekend will provide several Christmas festivities for the entire family.
First up is the 38th annual Pinnacle Bank Festival of Trees at the Worland Community Center this Friday.
According to Jaime Craft from Pinnacle Bank, doors will open at 5 p.m., providing attendees with an opportunity to peruse the decorative offerings prior to the auction, which is scheduled for 6 p.m. This year's auction will present a diverse array of items, including 24 trees, five wreaths, and 16 assorted miscellaneous items.
Last year's festival saw a remarkable fundraising achievement, generating $24,900, which was subsequently distributed among 33 local organizations. Throughout its 38-year history, the Festival of Trees has allocated over $473,000 to assist various organizations.
To enhance the festive atmosphere, complimentary refreshments, including wassail, coffee, and cookies, will be available to attendees during the event.
The festivities continue on Saturday, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., with a full schedule of live performances and viewing of the trees, wreaths and other items. Notable acts include The Sugar Beats, the Robotics Club, the Worland High School band and choir, The Wright Family and Kurt's Karate.
Two other events are also on Saturday.
The Kiwanis Breakfast with Santa will be from 8 to 11 a.m. at the Worland Senior Center.
Kids can have their photo taken with Santa for a fee and for a small fee they and their family can have a sausage and pancake breakfast. Proceeds go toward Kiwanis children’s programs in the community.
