Serving the Big Horn Basin for over 100 years
Donna May Stayman passed away on December 6, 2024 at the Washakie County Medical Center in Worland, Wyoming. She was born to Marion Paul and Lydia (Harres) Palmer on January 6, 1937, in Worland, Wyoming. She married Donald C. Tidemann September 4, 1955 and the couple had four children.

Following her divorce in 1977, she moved to Fort Collins, Colorado where she was employed by Platte River Power Authority during the time they were bringing their new power plant on line. Even though she was one of the first women employed in the power business, she was able to work her way up from secretary for the GM to being a Power Marketer. She joked that it was hard to sell a product that had no shape, color or quality. She was later hired as Manager of Power Operations for E Prime in Denver. All of her jobs included learning computer operations, which were new at the time. After 20 years she retired from the power industry moving back to Worland to help care for her mother.

She served as Secretary to the Board at the First Christian Church of Fort Collins and later for the first Christian Board in Windsor, CO. She met her second husband, Herman (Bud) L. Stayman of Springfield, Ohio, online through a Christian Service. They were married in Fort Collins May 5, 1999. Following her marriage she enjoyed traveling with Bud putting over 30,000 miles on their motor home. They traveled overseas to Germany, Turkey, Greece, and the Greek Islands. They also enjoyed a Caribbean cruise and zip lining in Montana. When she turned 80 her daughter, Tracy and granddaughter, Lindsey, took her to Cancun to celebrate.
Her hobbies were decorating silk ornaments for family Christmas presents, oil painting, genealogy, coin collecting, landscaping and gardening, counted cross stitch as well as being a voracious reader.
She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Tammi and half-brother, Robert Swander.
She is survived by her husband, Bud; brother, Dean Palmer; children, Terry (Terri) Tidemann, Tracy (John) Worrall and Trisha Turk. Through her marriage with Bud, she gained two step-children, Dr. Mathew Stayman and Jennifer (Stayman) Sablich as well as six step grandchildren: Elise, Will, Andrew and Christine Stayman and Claire and Grace Sablich.
